The Toronto Arts Council Foundation Awards, presented at a celebratory lunch hosted by Toronto’s City Mayor David Miller, celebrate excellence and leadership in the cultural sector.
This year’s celebration takes place on October 17th in Toronto’s historic Arcadian Court.
At this prestigious event Toronto’s civic leadership turn out to honour exceptional citizens who have made a notable contribution to the artistic and cultural life of Toronto through creation, performance, volunteerism and cultural leadership.
The presentation of Toronto Arts Council Foundation Awards at the Mayor’s Arts Awards Lunch reminds us of what makes Toronto a great community. It brings together a unique spectrum of people who invest their private and creative "capital" into making this city a better place to live in. We salute artists, philanthropists, creative workers and community leaders. Their efforts make possible this celebration of creativity, and we thank them for their outstanding support.
