Visual artist, educator, senior executive. Owner of Zephyr Studios, a studio that designs, develops, and exhibits works of art. Past positions include Managing Director of Corporate Affairs, Marketing and Development at TVOntario, Executive Director, Zoological Society of Metro Toronto, and 15 years with the North York Board of Education as a teacher, department head and principal. Member, Canadian Foundation for Investor Education Board of Directors, Trudeau Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies Advisory Board, University College Principal’s Advisory Committee. Past member, Toronto Stock Exchange Board of Directors. Board member, Toronto Arts Council.

André J. Galipeault, C.M.
Vice-President

President of Galipeault Group Inc., a management consulting firm providing board advisory services to the public and non-profit segments of Canadian institutions. Mr. Galipeault is Honorary Governor of York University, Past President of National Ballet of Canada and of National Theatre School and a Member of numerous Boards, including Canadian Stage Company and Les Centres d’Acceuil Heritage.

Mark Opashinov
Secretary

Lawyer. Partner, McMillan Binch LLP. Focus of practice is corporate/commercial and competition law. Mark writes widely and speaks extensively in his field and has a long list of publishing credits. He has a professional and personal interest in the arts and, in addition to advising the Framework Foundation volunteer art auction, collects art himself. Mark also has an interest in human rights issues and is Secretary and Past President, Macedonian Human Rights Movement of Canada.

Randal Levine
Treasurer

Chartered Accountant with over 25 years of finance and management experience. Randal has held a variety of senior financial management positions and is currently the CFO of Vector Aerospace, a TSX listed company. He has experience in all aspects of treasury and finance. He has served on a number of Boards including not-for-profit and charitable organizations.

Curtis Barlow

CEO of the Institute for Canadian Citizenship. Curtis Barlow has held leadership positions in the arts and government throughout his career. Prior to joining the ICC, he was Deputy Secretary (Policy, Program and Protocol) to the Governor General of Canada, with responsibility for the Governor General’s domestic and foreign policy program, as well as constitutional issues. Past positions include Director of the International Arts Promotion program at the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT), CEO of the Confederation Centre of the Arts in Charlottetown, Cultural Counsellor in both London and Washington with DFAIT, and Executive Director of the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres.

Sara Diamond

President, Ontario College of Art & Design. Sara is the former Director of Research at the Banff Centre where she also served as Artistic Director of Media and Visual Art. She has taught at Emily Carr Institute of Art & Design; The California Institute for the Arts, and the University of California, Los Angeles. Also a practicing artist and designer, working in video installation, artist's television and most recently conversation visualization software, artificial intelligence and performance, her work resides in collections such as the National Gallery of Canada and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Rana Florida

CEO of the Creative Class Group, a global advisory services firm based in Toronto and Washington DC. She has more than 15 years of experience in the communications and marketing field, and has worked with some of the world’s most recognizable brands including Disney, Starbucks, Chrysler, Wolfgang Puck, California Pizza Kitchen, and Neiman Marcus. Rana’s past experience included global strategic communications for HMSHost (Host Marriott Services), a $2 billion company with over 100 airport locations worldwide. She has advertising agency experience as a lead executive on the Chrysler Corporation account as well as managing several advertising agencies to give client’s the best ROI. She has served on several cultural arts boards, including the Detroit Institute of Arts, the Fanclub Arts Foundation, the Detroit Zoo, the Belle Isle Aquarium and the Belle Isle Nature Center. Rana holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations and Communications and a MBA in Marketing and Management.

Gerald George

Born and raised in London, England and graduated from the Camberwell School of Art, University of London. Gerald moved to Toronto and held a series of positions as art director and creative director for several of the world’s large agencies based in Toronto. He formed The George Partnership in 1991. Gerald’s ability to understand, manage and strategically solve business problems combines with proven expertise in developing insightful, innovative and idea driven creative/design solutions. Gerald has over 20 years of experience creating brand identity, advertising, corporate communications, packaging and promotional campaigns for clients in almost every industry sector. He sits on various boards and committees in Toronto including the Toronto International Film Festival and the George Brown College of Design industry and advisory committee.

Vanessa Harwood, O.C.

Vanessa Harwood-Scully is a former principal ballerina with the National Ballet of Canada. During her career some of her partners included Nureyev, Godunov, Augustyn and Bujones. Vanessa also pursued acting, performing on stage and screen. She is now a photographer. Her current projects include a line of greeting cards and still photography for dance films and the Moving Pictures Festival. Vanessa is a former President of Actors' Fund and former Trustee of Arts Toronto. She was named an Officer with the Order of Canada in 1984.

Natalie Lue

Director of Operations & Theatres for Toronto International Film Festival Group. As part of the senior management team, she contributes to the organizational development of TIFFG and participates in the design development and operational planning for their new building, the Bell Lightbox. Prior to joining TIFFG, Natalie was Director of Planning at Harbourfront Centre and played a leadership role in the development, management and implementation of long term strategic planning for major organizational and program initiatives.

Micheline McKay

Executive Director, Opera.ca. Micheline McKay draws on over 20 years experience in the public and cultural sectors. She currently shares her time between Opera.ca, and her business as a cultural consultant and publisher of The Arts Advocate newsletter. Micheline serves on the board of the Cultural Careers Council of Ontario. She is also a member of Arts Consultants Canada, Canadian Society of Association Executives and the Public Affairs Association of Canada.

Don Moffat, R.C.A.

Past President, Toronto Arts Council Board of Directors. Architect. Principal, Cannon Design. Academician of the Royal Canadian Academy of Art. Former member of Hamilton Public Art Commission. Past chairman of Etobicoke Municipal Arts Commission. Former president of Etobicoke Community Foundation.

Janice Price

CEO for Luminato. She most recently served as President and CEO of The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia, and was both the Interim Executive Director and Vice President of Marketing and Communications at New York's Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. Previous to her tenure in the United States, Janice held senior positions at Toronto arts organizations, including the Hummingbird Centre for the Performing Arts, Roy Thomson Hall and Massey Hall, and was the Director of Marketing and Special Projects for the Stratford Festival. Janice is a past board member of the Toronto Dance Theatre and Vice President of the Shakespeare Theatre Association of America. She continues to actively participate in the arts community as a current member of the board for the International Society of Performing Arts (ISPA).

Karen Tisch

President, Toronto Arts Council. Executive Director, Ashkenaz Foundation. Long-time film programmer and cultural worker, Karen is past Managing Director of the Hot Docs Festival. Other past positions include Grants Officer at the Canada Council for the Arts and Toronto Arts Council, Programming Director of the Images Festival of Independent Film and Video and President of A Space Gallery. Karen is a graduate of the National Ballet School of Canada and the Ontario College of Art and Design and has worked as a film critic (radio) and arts consultant.
